Selection: Cut edge should be clear and heart tight.

Preparation: Cut required segment and remove core. Slice or shred according to your preference.

Good for You: Has carbs, dietary fibre, some sugars and a little protein. Vitamins B1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9 (folate) & C; Calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and a little iron and zinc.

And Tastes So Good: Steam briefly and toss in butter or eat raw as cole slaw with mayonnaise, finely sliced carrot, radish, courgette, and a little onion according to taste, and availability. Apple, orange or banana make a tasty addition too.

Storage: Keep in cool drawer in fridge wrapped or in plastic bag.
