Selection: Bead (bud) should be firm, dry, with no yellow.
Preparation: Rinse, separate in florets or serving sized pieces.
Good for You: Broccoli is high in fibre and vitamin C, a source of many B vitamins including folate, many minerals including selenium. It’s an extremely beneficial vegetable.
And Tastes So Good: Steam; add a light cheese or mustard sauce; drizzle with lemon; or dob with butter; stir fry; don’t forget to include the peeled stems.
Storage: Rinse in cold water and store in plastic bag in fridge.
