Selection: These apples are crisp and sweet and should be firm.

Preparation: Wash and eat or peel – your choice.

Good for You: Apples contain fibre, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc and a little iron; Vitamins A, some Bs including folate and C.

And Taste so Good: Mostly eaten raw; great in lunch boxes or in salads or cole slaw. Can be stewed or core, stuff with sultanas or dates and bake.

Storage: Kept in your fridge or fruit bowl will last well.
