Savoy Cabbage – Whole

Selection: Outer leaves should be dark and head firm and lighter green.

Preparation: Remove coarse outer leaves and cut segments lengthwise as needed. Remove central core.

Good for You: Contains Vitamin C, many of the B group, including folate; calcium, magnesium, phosphate and potassium.

And Tastes So Good: The tastiest of cabbages. Can be steamed, stir fried or used raw in coleslaw with other preferred raw and salad vegetables and fruit.

Storage: Sprinkle with water and store in plastic bag.
